Toll road exemption (138A) Update 12-6-10

Update on the toll road and the Mobility Authority Board Meeting.

Notification!

The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority is an independent government agency created in 2002 to improve the transportation system in Williamson and Travis counties.   We are encouraging concerned county residents and veterans of the community to attend the CTRMA Board Meeting and provide the board with any information they want to share about the issue.   Citizens may speak at the Citizen's Communication portion at the beginning of the board meeting or they may wait until staff report update portion of the meeting.

During the last legislative session, the Texas Legislature passed a law (H.B. 3139) allowing toll project entities to offer free or reduced tolls to Texas vehicles with any of the following specialty license plates:

§  Disable Veterans

§  Purple Heart Medal Recipients

§  Medal of Honor Recipients

We need the veterans of Travis county to attend the Board meeting and show their support for the Toll Road Exemption issue.
